FlashVSI is a full mIRC connection for VSIXc Chat Network, which includes many tools. It allows you to manage your VSIXc identities, to configure your user preferences, and provides many options similar to the VSIXc OCX. You can also display in mIRC VSIXc users colors roughly rendered from the whole html color palette. FlashVSI includes a font stripper which allows you to cleanly get users messages, as well as a font formatter (message encoder) for the VSIXc OCX, which allows you to send messages using custom font, styles and colors. The FlashVSI connection and its components are available in many languages (English, French and Dutch at this time). Other tools are included for scripters, add-on developers, and anyone who wish to adapt their bot for the VSIXc Chat Network using FlashVSI. A full and multi-lingual help is also available in MS HTML Help format.
FlashVSI 2.1 is the most important evolution of the script since its second version (numbered 2.0). Many codes have been modified and/or enhanced, on the one hand, to match the new VSIXc Chat Network server software, updated in the early days of 2008, and on the other hand, to be even more compatible with new mIRC versions, altought it stays compatible with older versions (tested for mIRC 6.03 and more). Some parts of the code are now more fluent and, globally, FlashVSI 2.1 is quicker and more stable than ever before. New settings makes it easy to arrange popup menus in a more practical way, letting you integrate better your own menus, by stripping those of FlashVSI.
Useful functions for scripters have also been updated, in order to keep receiving event signals, and to obtain quickly information about users, using $vsix.get, without having to do a /who and /whois, because these datta are recorded by FlashVSI (if the /who and /whois on join functions are not stopped).
Finally, another important evolution in FlashVSI 2.1, is to provide access to *all* the features of the VSIXc Chat Network, using many new scripts and settings dialogs, without changing mIRC's behavior on other servers you are connected to! Effectively, each code, each menu, and all elements managed by FlashVSI are now automatically inactive when the server is not VSIXc Chat. You can, therefor, use another mIRC script with FlashVSI so that you can both chat on VSIXc and be connected to other IRC servers. FlashVSI will not change the natural behavior of mIRC on these servers.
FlashVSI embeds a small scripters' API for script writers wishing to create their scripts over this connection. We welcome all new implementation ideas from anybody!
We also wish you enjoyable moments on the VSIXc Chat Network, using FlashVSI ;o)
