you can use /window -a in the end of your init event, it will "flicker" a bit, but thats somthing you'd have to live with. ie: /open_dialog on *:diaog:something:init:0: { do_this then_this and_finally_this window -a <channel window> }

Only downside is that it doesnt support the default menus in mirc, which you get when you right-click the nick/notify list.

Use #$2 instead of $2 in the join/part events.
