what's the code you use? Also, make sure "show user colors" under "room options" in the setup dialog is not selected, otherwise this will cause problems.

if you have the custom nicklist, this is possible. Select the nickname you want, and along the top (fast clicks) the first button is "kick only". The second is "kick + ban" and the third is "ban only". You can modify the kick messages...

the sockets are closing, they need to be kept alive by sending data to it at a constant rate. For MSN it will ping you to get data. But sometimes it doesn't work. But these problems should be solved by the connection writter, not you.

yea, well with the new system, you can drop the ctcp flood protection right down now, because GD5 blocks out the first few seconds to allow for return of ctcps and that.

for those three, yes. But when it comes to the channel names, it varies, for example, DC had $hget(dc.chat. $+ $cid,fullroom) or $fchan, Vincula has $msn.get($cid,fullroom), and nuke can run parallel to the vincula command.
