well, my connection * or @* would match an entire.. or inother words if an access is *!*@*$* as u say it uses * or @* as an access to "everything" i.e owner to all, host to all, voice to all (but yes, ur right aswell, so thats about it)...

well mirc tends to freeze if u have events that do to much on start up so. look for on *:START: events and remove them, for one the only thing i can see some one doing on start is loading tool bars.. and updateing ur group/msn chat cooki...

yah.. just ban guests and if they start changing names if u dint deny them then just use the nick kicker, suggestion, or if its lagging u, dont show nick changes just ignore them and get a guest flood kicker cus when they join it takes s...
