without looking to be sure i would say it could be sparkpea's font tags doing it.. you would need to strip them out or tokenize past them in order for the commands to work. but like i said i haven't looked and i'm not familar with sparkp...

i don't use -i i use something like /spacer { return $str($chr(160), %s) } then i can set my spaces. not the best way but it works.. i use a $wrap command to break of text to the next line and have it indent.. using the same spacer com...

i have more fun scripting for vsixc as well.. mainly cause you don't have to deal with a connection.. i had alot of fun with tcn and ircd too.
