Recently switched to useing Unrealircd 3.2.5 , after a long time modifying it.
however for many months have been running it on the existing dedicated windows server
costing in excess of $300. yes.. a massive overkill for a proper single ircd.
over the last 3 weeks have been tweaking the c code (of my mods) to fully support the ANSI-C
libraries for compilation on linux/bsd. as it was bugged and crashed under linux. yet same code
running on windows is 100% stable. weird stuff.
end result ? done. chatserver is now compiled and running stable and on.. i quote from ssh

The box is located in LA hosted by Awknet.
Fully ddos protected, and great latency.
total cost for hosting our ircd is $36/m.
Sorry to all the phreik haters. yes we just got better, faster, and sustainable.
the rest.. enjoy ![]()
