Vincula NGen

It is called, Vincula NGen, for two reasons. One is because there are alot of versions of 4.9 out there, now. Second is this is the only Vincula I've seen so far that uses sockets to create rooms, and join them.

Alot of people have edited this file. So, special thanks to everyone of them. My work on it was extensive, but still only a small part compared to those who have edited it before.

New to this version is an easier way to join groups, and also get your user role information. I've added a "Groups" tab to the setup dialog. Just add your group name to the list. Then, you can either single click on it to update your user role, or double click on it to remove the name from the list. I've even added a join button in there so to make joining the groups chatroom easier.

Next, I've edited the menus. Originally, this version had limited commands. I didn't add much to the nicklist commands. Just the basics. Also, the op commands won't show unless you are a host, or owner.

Isn't really anything major to add create rooms on mines been creating rooms for years. Most people will just stick to nuclearmsn..

To whoever removed the link, I did submit it to TechGear before I posted it on. If you don't want people posting links to their downloads then please put up a rules section concerning it. I agree that we have to be careful of things.

To others who are having problems with it, instead of being sarcastic about it just state what problems you are having, and I'll try to fix it. So far, I'm not getting any problems with it myself at all. That is why it is good to actually know what the problem is that you are having instead of getting attitudes about it not working for you.

Haggis, gazzy, no it's not a big thing to create rooms. Infact, I didn't make it to where it could create rooms. Just create them more easily by clicking on the groups name in the list, and clicking the "Join/Make" button. This Vincula was edited so that people who were having problems with Vincula before could use this a bit easier. There are other connections out there that are alot better to use, and has alot more features. However, there are people who are Vincula diehards who just wants to use Vincula, and nothing else. This is why I worked on this Vincula. Those who don't want to use it don't have to.

About Vincula NGen, I'm still trying to figure out why it is doing that. I used my brothers pc, and noticed that it indeed is causing the relook server connection if you don't have a paid account. So, I'll try to have this fixed asap. If you discover anymore problems please let me know.

reason is that it is closing the sockets and when you connect, vinc wants both connected, try and find it in the lookups bit.

Well, Vincula NGen gets the userrole, and subinfo as well, and can connect to groups rooms, and all. However, the only problem is, it seems to only work for subscribed passports. Else, it resets the connection. I'm trying to work on it to where it won't need the subinfo in order to stay connected to the groups server. The Gate Keeper is going to try to help me out with it when he has the chance. So, hopefully we can get this connection to work better.

Gazzy, this isn't my connection, and I didn't even claim it was. If you downloaded the file you would see credits at the top of the file if you opened it. eXonyte is the original creator of Vincula. Vincula NGen is just an edited copy of the Vincula that sonoflight, and others, had edited before. It is just called Vincula NGen, because there are alot, and I do mean alot of Vincula 4.9s around.

Lol, i know it aint your connection i never said it was i just said i might release another edited version of vincula 4.9 that fixes all the problems with it for people who still use vincula

theres like 100 edited vincula4.9 out there why not make a vincula5.0
