Slight problem updating today

* * passport update failed : set your nickname first, ya git.

I dont really understand the explination of the update failer, since ive been using this passport for over a year and the nickname is well and truly "set".

At first i though msn was just being a.. um... its usual self. But my other passport updates just fine.

Seen a post made by TGK on rumbaar's site, saying you need to make a profile if your trying to get MSN reg cookie which nuclear does or is suppose to do.

Yeah thanks i seen that post too, but i made a profile the day i made the passport.

And it doesnt make much sence that you would need a passport anyway just to get into msn groups where nobody can see passports anyway lol.

edit: i decided to have a look at the profile anyway and there was a new field there called "name"

completely seperate to the "nick name" field.

so yeah i put a name in that new field and now all is well.

yea, only updaters that user the msnregcookie would be nuke's and GD4 and GD5 (still in beta).

It's needed in groups because some passports have separate nicknames in all their groups, or different nickname in groups than subscription, so you still need the regcookie. and since nuclear doesn't support cloning nicknames (unless u have the one i use ) it needs the regcookie.

Its better to set a nickname .
