how can i place an icon on a button in a dialog?

and will it be just the icon, or icon + text ?

Do you mean like, to where if you click it it opens up something or something to that effect? If you mean like you want the same effect as a button just treat it as a button item.

You have to use DLL functions for that. Try the nicklist sections in downloads. Use those for examples.

none of the mdx library's files can do the job

so based on what i know, you want to use an icon/image as a button.

if so, in dialog studio, just put an image in. then use sclick and rclick events, because both work very well. Thats how i would recommend doing it.

i thought about that too, but the image or icon cant be pushed 2wards inside like the button, though it 'll do the required function

mdx bars has ability to add pics to buttons but it is ment for toolbars, , maybe you could use that.

hy i think its so easy right click on the place and there be option backgroud and put the pic over there

I suggest you make a picture of a button with the icon and text you want on it and, like GK said, you can handle the clicks on the picture like you do for a normal button.

The only difference will be that the button shows now effect for mouse rollover.

umm ive seen that on VB bots etc never on mIRC. Cant you just drag the icon thingy onto the button using Dialog Studio?

no absorb x , none of the mdx related file can do the job..

it was the 1st thing i searchedc 4 sure, as i depend on dialogs and icons mainly in my scripts
