MSN GROUP TAKEOVER

Hiya everyone,

Recently someone was able to hack their way into our MSN Group and make themselves Manager, then made everyone else a member, then took control of the room.

Even tho MSN have information that shows clearly who the creator of the Group is, and the creator dealing with MSN, we still have no satisfaction. The word around the traps is you dont get your group back, such is life. So if you have spent yrs building a group and want to make it harder to lose, try these its what we have picked up so far.

Have a minimum of Managers, even just one or two.

-The Manager account is for the forum only, it is NEVER to be used in a room or a script.

-To bring a script in to populate the acceslist, in the forum set the user to manager, bring in the script, and return the user back to member.

It seems the problem is hyjacking the Managers account, so dont let it near a room or script.

u can do most everything u need with an asst. manager passport anyway..back in the day i had mine set up to where i had a secret passport and that was the only full manager of the place..then i had several asst. manager ppl and along with i used an asst. manager passport day to day

It dosent really matter if you use your managers account in chat, aslong as your computer isnt being hacked<meaning you have fallen in to a backdoor trap, and MSN will only give you the group back if you have sufficent evidence to prove its been hacked.

The steps you should take,

-Hide managers account emails on your group and any other group you join with the passport and if the group is a restricted and you have to reply change the email that is ticked as hidden as it is viewable by the managers of that group.

-If your group is taken contact MSN immediatly they reply within 12 for hacked groups it usally takes 2 or 3 emails though.

-Only have one manager in the group, one means less chance that you will haxed!.

-Dont use scripts that people send you, of a person you barely know. a common trick is in the connection of a script is to hide a code so when the creator joins the room it shows the passport details in use in the script(very n00bish).

-If somone hacks into an asst managers account and deletes, make sure you have a backup of all the content.

-Dont manager people you have just met, i was talking to somone yesterday and they made somone asst and they deleted everything GOOD EN'!

-Dont be stupid<<Says it all.

Our group is family owned, my cousin and i created it.

my cousin, myself, and his wife are the only managers.

I am the only one with a script in the room since im the only one that understands them well enough, and the scripts account is only an assistant manager.

i may be ridiculed on here for saying it here but scripts cause more trouble when there worth, you better without one Plus. MSN close groups because of it as its against there third party software agreement on MSNs terms of use. Although scripts are fun, running trivia could get your group closed if somone reports it.

I agree, if there were no scripts, then there wouldn't be a need to have one in to protect your room, they should ban them all togeather, but if you dont have one in; especially with teen groups you get passport flooded by noobs and spammed all day no win situation.

K, well think about it. If it wasnt for scripts, your chats wouldnt have half as many people in them as they do now. Theres a select few amount of people that do stupid things with scripts. Its not all. And it's people that ridcule that put a bad light on scripters in general. You can go to any room (try coming to MSHS one time) and notice that most scripters in there dont do that kinda stuff. Rancid, its not about closing groups because of scripts. If you notice, they closed ADULT rated groups. MSN was going to the toilet anyway, and most of us know/knew it was coming when they went to subscription. Them shutting things down is no surprise to anyone.

I don't have a group/chat anymore, because it got closed for using a script lol the irony, most people were annoyed by the scripts in my group anyway, I know most people don't go about flooding but you get a lot of it in teen groups

thats strange gazzy, nobody has complained yet about my script.

In fact any time its missing they get worried they will get flooded or spammed.

gazzy groups dont get closed for using scripts

they get closed if the owner is abusing the use of scripts or for the group breaking the coc

Ive recieved loads of warnings like these for diffrent groups ive used 1 of which was disabled for runing triva(Cool Eh), if somone reports it you will be warned and on the second report closed. and Gaz if i remeber right thats why your group got closed because there scripts in there were far from abusive. Your group will only get closed if its reported with something such as a screenshot of a command.

if you dont believe this all you have to do is email msn or go on community feedback.

I have noticed on MSN Chat ignores this as you are or should be paying users however MSN Groups will not.

And X-Fusoin in all the groups i go in no longer use scripts or they use them in a way that can not be detected looks like there all active, you behind in the game !!

Behind in the game? I've been known about that. Going un detected is old news. Come to the regular chat and version people. Most are undetected. It's not a matter of that anyway. If your group was closed, it probably wasnt for that. Chat is for 18+. That is a teens room. Anything that has to do with teens in anyway will result in a closure for your group.

Thats why MSN have a Teens catergory on groups the actual age limit to join groups is 13(MSN have a TEEN group). if you want me to show how i can get a group closed for this i will ?

and that one wasnt closed, athough groups such as The Lobby Were closed because of this and that was a pretty big group, ive seen groups with 100,000+ members go because of this lawl. Dont believe contact MSN Groups Support.

It was closed for simply having a 'bot installed' in the chatroom.. it wasnt doing anything disruptive just had trivia on every so often didn't even get any warnings

Well, TG007NET group would have been closed by now then. MSN Staff have been in there before and the group isn't closed so uhhh.. lol. I don't think they close them just for using a script.

Thats why I'm confused. TG007NET has been around since it went to subscription ... hasnt been shut down once.

Thats because no ones reported it, Silly.

Quit crediting these people that take msn group rooms as hackers. This may hurt some feelings but if you lost your msn group to someone it's because of your own stupidity. The most likely cause of a lost group is someone giving out their password and email for an account that is a manager of that group. Pay attention to links that ask for your login info. It's very easy to spoof the msn login page. Be careful of the scripts you use. Get them from someplace that checks the scripts for backdoors oh like say tg007.net. There is no magic hacking skill that allows ppl to take your group. If they took your group it's because they somehow got your passport info and 99% of the time it's because they tricked you into giving it to them. Using a script in your group under a manager account is 100% safe.
