chat control for msn butterflies?

Is there a way in group chat to use msn butterflies or something similiar instead of the gold hammy where the person downloads an adjusted chat control/.dll file?

not possible because the server sets it.

Actually, the groups uses the same ocx in downloaded program files the problem is, if you change th group part, ur most likely not going to be able to connect then u must redownload ocx, ect..

Besides, Gatekeeper is right, the server is setting the most of it gathering the information for the ocx, if u DINT have the ocx, u would be told to download it with that 'smily' face popup CRAP, lol

Use reshacker on the ocx and replace the pics with new ones. The pic you're looking for goes from butterfly down, all in a row. Bung it in paint, copy the butterfly over the gold gavel then put it back in the ocx.

Last time I did something similar it became my Guest_null fix when it first came around, when you'd become Guest_null in both normal chat and script chat. Amazingly, nobody could do the same thing with the normal ocx and have their name back (register my ocx without registering the script's). Obviousy, that later worked for others. I think people at the time had to go through, delete their chat control, re-register the normal ocx then re-register the script's. That's not important though lol.

cleric is right you can use resource hacker to change the gold gavel to the butterfly. too bad it only works on your computer. you can also change all the msn emotions to what ever you want and make your own. again too bad it is only visible on your computer.

Bluedevil, you know you could have just edited your other post instead of posting two... but anyway, reshack can only do so much the only thing I found it usefull for is just changing the icons... even that wasn't anything special.

Yup, that' pretty much all you can do unless you try

I also edited the sounds at the time, which meant you'd have the same sound, regardless of where the original file was.
