html colors and mirc

hi, I have a question please about html colors.

now most of all onjoins use html colors like:

<b><color #000000> welcome to my room.

is not there anyway to see the color in my mirc instead of <b><color #000000> ??

I want to see in my mirc Welcome to my room instead of <b><color #000000>. Also character â€Â© how can I use $replace to see it in my mirc as i see in web chat (return line).

For example: <b><color #000000> welcome to â€Â© my room.

I want to see in my screen of mirc:

welcome to

my room.

for return character use this

$replace(<string>,
,$chr(13))

for coloring you'll have to ask vex to use his one or make your own, but you will never get it exactly the same as the html one because mirc only supports 15 colors not 256 colors.

For the colours, do you mean change the html to an mIRC colour with bold? If so, just use ctrl+b or $chr(2) (bold) then ctrl+1 (black)

EDIT: I see $chr(13) as a square but when I paste it here, it turns to be return line lol, I dont know what I see it in my mirc as a square

$chr(13) doesn't actually work as a return in mIRC, although it is anywhere else.

As for actually coding the return, I reckon you'd have to use strings and variables to make it appear as if it returns (ie: just like in an alignment theme). Either that or make an alias that echos their nickname on the first line then skips the nickname on the next lines.

Ftr, mIRC supporting only 15 colours isn't entirely true; you can change the set 15. It's that you can only use 15 colours at a time. Unless you use a picwin the only option you have is to make it as close as possible (eg: any shade of red becomes 4)

I couldn't think of any way to do it so I asked Ozzy and err0r to give a shot at it and they couldn't do anything with it either so the only other idea is to use smiliesview.dll and convert your default mIRC chat window into an .html page (about:blank) and then use $replace($1-,
,<br>) .. Simple enough

IF you use the smilesview that is here on TG007 is in french and for some reason when you get in the chat you can't see what other people is typing in the room.

The only thing that appear in your screen is what you typed and also a picture of Sara Michelle the vanpire slayer.

tron, that's incorrect. If you create your theme correctly, it will display everything as mirc does. GD for example has emoticon theme and non emoticon theme, both of them are identical coding, one just enables the HTML page, the other disables it.

I just downloaded the file from this site and uploaded it to the mIRC program without doing any coding. so I don't know why I couldn't see anything in the room only what I was typing.

lol, if you downloaded smiliesview on it's own, there is no way it would work. Try downloading Web-ChatZ 4.1, that is a decent example of Smiliesview.
