Invalid Nicname?

I have been using this nicname for the past 2 yr's »†epOx†« and now all of a sudden it comes up as an invalid nicname. I'm using Vincula, can anyone explain this for me? Have tried several different rooms and am getting the same thing.

type /nick »†epOx†« and try use encode/decode dialog.

What? explane it again my english is soooooo poor.

i have never had to type type /nick »†epOx†« to join a room without an error. I have always put my name in where you edit passport info. I have never had to use the /nick. But now that is the only way it will let me use that nic. For what reason i have no idea not unless MSN has changed something as to how the nic's are or something

when putting the nick in the edit passport dialog you need to put it in unicode and tick the nickname in unicode box just under it, otherwise you get that error

or u could use nuclear connection

But It needs it decoded, therefore it is »†epOx†«

For a better understanding on what vincula or any other connection does to mIRC to get in chat you should get familiar with the IRC commads. For example /nick is the command that allows you to change a nickname on chat.

You have the options and bottons to make easier for you but also you can just type all the commands and IRC will take them as well.

Try that way and you will find mIRC more fun
