Hi. yeah i wanted to get back into the msn scripting bit however i don't know what to look for these days as i've grown out of touch with the lingo concerning scripting.

I have a basic mIRC client, i use it regularly to connect to a room i registered on america's army's server. I would like to use a vincula connection if possible with this script to run an msn room. I used guarddog for a while but didn't like the nicklist interface. is there still a way to use a script in msn rooms with the normal mIRC nicklist? also, if a vincula version exists that can go into msn rooms currently, is there an easy way i can configure the script to only use an msn connection when i click on an option in one of the menus that i've put there without simply loading and unloading it? vincula's script itself always intimidated me because merely of it's size, i never wanted to mess with it.

the reason i'm most interested in vincula is because i have the most familiarity with it's custom identifiers. i would use them in my script to see nicknames and stuff. if not vincula then could someone point me into the direction of an easy to use connection?

one more thing i need to ask is can someone direct me to a good, easy to understand sockwrite/sockread tutorial? that seems to be something one needs to know about these days with scripting. thanks ahead of time

As for a script that works on msn's current configuration there are quite a few in our downloads section. While there is no official release of vincula to work on the new msn ( though it's in the works it seems ) we do have a few edited versions that you can also find in out downloads section. There is also the Nuclear MSN connection that should be very easy for you to adopt to as it has be coded to help past vincula users. It is in our downloads as well.

Good luck and happy scripting.

err0r thanks a million for being so swift with a reply i expected it quick but whoa dude, lol i hope this forum never switches to decaff.
