Vincula NGen Update.

I have finally got it to where you won't need a paid subscription to be able to use this Vincula in Groups chat. It will be available asap. Right now I am working on a "Security" tab that you can use. Please, if any of you have any suggestions that you would like to see either in this version, or future versions, please let me know. Vincula NGen will be ready at the most by tomorrow evening.

Vinculas orgional 'find a friend' still works in subscription chat doesnt it? did last time i checked but it wont work in Groups anyway findu's seem to not work for some reason it just dont find the person ;s you can do /who name which sometimes says the channels there in thats about it tho

Surgestions erm.. is this mainly for chat, groups or both? if its for groups id like surgest to take all the stuff out thats for msn chat to make it less confusing for noobs plus fix things like the join groups (url) and remove other stuff that doesnt work in groups like change owner keys apart from that you said you've got room creation working didnt you?

Yes, room creation is working now. I had nothing to do with that part, lol. It was already like that. It uses sockets to create rooms instead of IE.

There was a problem with nonsubscribers using this vincula. However, everyone can use it now.

Gazzy, excellent suggestion concerning limiting the controls when on the gorup server. I'll give that a shot. (Y)

Vincula NGen will be ready shortly, and I'll submit it to TechGear for upload.

P.S.: I have added a cookie grabber that gets the user role as well to this file. I was planning on putting security settings in the file. However, I decided not to for now so that you can use your own security script. If anyone wants me to put security in this file, please let me know.

Okay, the new Vincula has been submitted to TechGear. Hopefully, it will be ready for download soon. It now works for both subscribed chatters, and non-subscribed chatters.

Okay I Warrior I download the updated version and I get this error with non paid account.

Are you running a firewall? If so that could cause the problem.

I dont think that is the problem Warrior, cause it works with paid accounts and other vinculas work over here too.

FYI - NGen works for me! No other Vincula I have works, so hats off to you for getting the magic words. It burped a bit at the beginning, but after the passports were updated and restarting mIRC it seems to work great. Thanks!

Okay, I tried it with a new script, and all. However, I'm not getting that problem. Try replacing the...

sockread %read

...with...

$iif(%read,sockread %read)

and see if that helps.

Also, are you still able to connect to both the Groups server, and the Main server even with that error?

Okay, that sounds like the first version of Vincula NGen that I had before. Did you download the newest one that TechGear has? It was posted this afternoon just some hours ago on the main website, http://www.tg007.net.
