Error with Vincula NGen

Hi,

i've just downloaded it and tried to join a group

it gives this error :

any idea to fix it ?

Okay, that means that the passport you are using isn't a member of the group you are trying to update in. You have to specify the group name that your passport is a member of.

P.S.: If you haven't added your groups name to the list you must first add the name. Then, click on the name in the list with your mouse so that it will retreive the userrole. Then, you can click the "Join/Create" button to join the groups room, but the userrole must be updated, first.

the passport i'm using is a member of the group, it's also admin there

Did you add the group name to the list box?

If so, did you click on the name in the list box with your mouse to update the userrole?

The next version I'll add a tutorial. I should've with this one, lol. I apologize for that.

If you didn't do so already, type in your group name, and click the "Add" button. That will add your group name to the list box above.

Next, click on your group name in the list box, and it will update your userrole.

You will see it when it is updated in the active window.

Next, just click on the "Join/Create" button. If the create room dialog comes up make sure you have checked the "Create on the Groups server" checkbox to create the groups room. Then, you should be able to join.

u're right, i didn't put group name in listbox

i did exactly what u said

first, i typed the group name with http... and wheni click on group name, it said :

then i only typed the group name only and it gave same error as first when i clicked on group name :

Does your group name have spaces between the words? Also, if you don't mind can you tell me exactly what you type in, your group name?

still gives same error

Okay, last question. Did you click on the name in the list box to update your userrole, and did you see in the active window the message "UserRole Update For yeppa Complete."?

when i first typed group name to add it to the listbox, i typed yeppa but it automatically add %#g_ to group name, then i click on add, it added the group

i also clicked once on group name in the list tu update userrole and it gave the same error :

Okay, are you a member of any other groups? If you are, can you add them to your list, and see if it will work for those groups?

ps: thing that is strange, it updates great with nuclear, but i really prefer vincula

Okay, I just joined the group, yeppa myself to see if it will work for me, and I'm getting the same thing you are. I'll try to see what the problem can be. It works for other groups. However, for some reason it won't for yeppa.

If you can, join my group, HomeofGuardian, and try to see if it will update for that group. Let me know when you join, and I'll accept your application

is there something to do that this group is in europe ( France ) ??

cause it updates with nuclear but as i said, i really prefer vincula

That was what I was thinking. Vincula might not update in Europe too well. I haven't tried this, yet. However, try joining a community in the US, update your userrole there, then type in your roomname in the edit box, and click "Join/Create" button. You might be able to join, then.

Okay, then the problem is that it won't update for European communities. However, try to join your group by typing in the name, only. Then, click the "Join/Create" button. It might work. I'll also give it a try

Nice effort on the NGen, glad the create rooms an all that works popups a bit confusing because they show on menu bar and some are for changing room setting even when your not in a room, in the next update od say to fix the errors an test it a lot..
