weird problem on my pc caused by script

Hey guys

Recently I've a weird problem

When I am running my script and I want to play a game I get an error

and I can't run the game ..I've tried 3 different pc's and I get the same error , when ever I close the script I can normaly run the game without any errors

I ve directx installed last version and my pc's has decent spec..

Why would you use a script to play a game?

Am not using a script to run a game

Am already running my script in rooms

I just minimiz the script and want to play a game

this error appear when ever I try to play a game while my script is running in the rooms !!

What windows are you running?

Windows xp pro. with sp2

Try a different game. All of the games that I've tried whilst running mIRC run fine.

I tried more than one game

Same here, I can run any program and have no problems I have xp pro sp2, Two things will stop it, Video Card (memory or graphic), And System Memory(your pc) is to low, Look at game specs(requirments) and check it againts what you have in your system, More than likely that's where your problem lies, Also goto the game web site and look for updates, Maybe they have a fix, also Check your video Card web page and see if they have a update.

My pc spec is up to date

Video Card is Radeon 9800 256 with the last driver

AMD Athlon xp 2600+

AMD 1.91Ghz 512 of rams

Games has no updates ..I checked it out!

Any other ideas ?!

P.S As I mentioned b4 I tested the script in 3 different pc's with different spec.

I will goto Game Site and check my self, I have twice the stuff you have, if you hit alt cntrl del keys with the programs, less the game, what resorce is used?

Windows 98, Me, 2000, XP

400 MHz Pentium II or equivalent (do you have a computer with pentium?) I have had trouble with AMD

128 MB of RAM

8 MB 3D video card (TNT, i810, Voodoo 3, Rage 128 equivalent or better) with DirectX® 8.1 support

700 MB HD space

4X CD-ROM drive

It should have no problems with it,

I will load the game and play it, Give me a couple of hours to test and I will tell you what I find

is it Reign of Chaos

or Frozen Throne?

I'm now playing warcraft III Frozen Throne with two Scripts loaded 8 web pages open winamp playing paint shop program open and 12 other programs running and I have no problems, I can't duplicate your problem, So there is no way I can help you, other than try using pentium based pc

Wait one more thing, Try reloading Direct x , You have to unistall it first then re install it, That may help, Donno

Also, You have not looked hard, There are many Patches

Games has no updates ..I checked it out!

Yes but you been posting messages after other without him replying. Nevermind though.

eagle: you cannot uninstall direct X. Therefore your advice is impossible to follow.

bonty: what script are you running, and have your tried other scripts?

I will reinstall the game and try many scripts .. and see

I have done it many times before when games installed there diretx version usualy lower then one I had. But I now skip that prosses, again I have not done it with xp sp2, so you maybe right, Maybe when I get board I'll try it. But like I said, I have done it.

I removed the game

installed it again

tried another script works fine

with my script I get the same error
