is it possible that some chaters in my group room gets their pc attack while in the room.

Two chaters have their ''norton'' says their are atacked while they are in the room.

For what i know of norton antivirus it is crap and i am hard time believing this could happen now instead of the freak times of msn chatrooms hihihi...

But the security of my the people who chat in my rooms make me want to be sure im right.

If it's possible that attacks occurs could you tell me the way to block access.

Right now i rely only on hybrid script kicker has a script protection.

Thanks to all in advance...

Norton isnt crap

and yes its possible to be attacked while in a room, but it will NOT be coming from the room

If you leave ya comp on net , you will get aleast 5 to 10 intrusion attempts on ya comp (in 12 hours) and thats just while connected to he net and nothing else opened.

They recon an unprotected pc will be infected or attacked withing the first 10 minutes of being online.

My code does NOT have bugs. It just develops random features.

yess sorry bout that Ozzy ive shouldve said i personally dont like norton instead of saying that

And thanks for the response kinda of what i was thinking.

12 attacks? I wish. Every other day I get around 200 attacks per day on my firewall, almost all of which are/uses my ISP.

For the record, Norton is probably the best Antivirus you can get for a home pc. As long as it's fully up to date you shouldnt get any problems.

I use Norton anti virus and Norton INTERNET protection (firewall) and have no problems with intruders, or ad-ware ect......

I use Mcafee Virus and SP2 Firewall and never seen an attempt alert as yet

Hey boss what settings are you using with Norton? I am running system works 05 and anti-virus 05. and microsofts spy/adware still finds crap that norton didnt even see nor touch.

I use Norton aswell. I dont have any probs with it. But most of the time i cant get info on the outbreak alert caue it says I'm not connected to the net. That doesnt bother me cause i can just visit the site and look there

Well i think your firewall/Antivirus is pretty shot if there hasn't been attack Attempts

Like Ozzy10 said you get attack attempts all the time, mostly from the 61. ip range. Well thats what i get all the time. I just moved that attempt to the restricted zone. Thats where its stays.

Your better off to have a friend than to be all alone.. If you fail, Your friend can help you up.

I'm using 2004 Norton with all updates, My Norton Fire wall is separate package, and it stops all installs and intruders, Every once in a wile I click except, and have to delete the program. But other than that, I have no problems, At time get annoying when the alert keeps popping up, when the ad ware is trying real hard to access my computer.
