Script won't connect (not just the normal problem!

Hiya!

I'm having a few problems trying to connect my script to MSN Groups.

Now, it's not the usual problem about not following steps, because all that is fine.

It's not my connection (I don't think), because I can connect fine with nuclear msn connection, just not vincula!

It doesn't connect at the beginning at all. Normally when it starts, it should say something like group / subscription servers connected, as it does with nuclear, however with vincula it doesn't say that at all!

When I reset the lookup servers, nothing happens, and my passport doesnt update. As I said i tried with nuclear and that works fine, I can connect and join a group room.

Any help please? (and yes I have followed all the steps)

-- On a side note, when using kenobi... half of the things don't work? Like when I go to kick/ban it just bans no kick, and doesnt infact kick when I click the kick button. Same for guarddog, when I say ban this, turn this off, it doesn't!

are you sure you got the email address and passwrod right cause that sumtimes happens when i try to connect to the msn group and have you tryed to install anything like extra games or script addons cause it might change the descions the script makes

Yep I know everything is right because as I said, I've connected and updated passport fine using Nuclear MSN just not vincula!

No I haven't added anything, just a basic script download won't connect using vincula!

What version Vincula do you have?

well neither script will kick or ban if your not in a room lol

I got into the chatroom using nuclear msn connection, and it still didnt like kick/ban correctly.

I've tried the latest version of vincula, as well as editted ones.

is this paid chat or groups your trying

cause it sounds like your trying paid chat and you need a paid account for the script

Nope, groups chat (though I have both a subscribed and unsubscribed passports - im using the one unsubscribed).

It's not finding the servers like at all...

Like as I said when you first start it or on other connections, if would say finding lookup servers or when you reset them it says resetting lookup servers... then it should say its connected to groups server, or whatever it says.

Mine would stay on resetting lookup servers... for ages... doing nothing and not connecting. This is ONLY on vincula, I tried with nuclear msn connection and it found them perfectly.

It's not a firewall because I switched that off to check.

Are you using internet explorer 7 ?

I find that's the problem i have with getting vincula or clearmsn to connect.

Xboxking u might have to reinstall the ocx.

strange i had the same problem but it didnt start till i loaded nuclear into one script and deleted a script.........but i tried reloading vincula twice and then i would get update passport complete but didnt see msn server conn on group or sub..........and when trying to join room it stuck at resetting........i removed vincula and retried same thing...i removed ocx chat and same thing so i deleted mirc and vincula in one script and then redownloaded mirc into script and vincula and bam on the second start up it grabbed.......cant say why......but i somehow believe it was ocx issue.......but that fixed it and then all other scripts worked. Hope this helped as far as steps to try but not to explain why.
