Can vincula disappear?

First of all let me say that my puter is not exactly 'sane' recently so whatever may be causing prob ill describe may be due to that.

I got Kenobi a few days back. First day I didn't do much with it..just opened it and a had a look around. Second day I tried to set it I realised the Vincula Main Dialog (or whatever its called ) was missing. So i reextracted the files again. It was there. I used it that night (yesterday). Ozzy must remember this cause I used his new help page (which is AWESOME). It worked fine (just a prob with the trivia but I didnt worry about that much).

Just now, I opened it and tried to get it into my room. I realised that AGAIN the vincula thing was gone. I took a screenshot in case its there and I missed it actually.

A few weeks ago I had d/l a different script. It worked fine for a day and then most of its files had gone missing too. Its script editor (Remote) had gone from full to..empty just like that. I had re extracted its files..all there. Worked it again..then a day later poof..gone again. I gave up. Now, same (almost) seems to be happening with Kenobi. I do not understand why and I honestly don't know if it's sth I did wrong.

Could someone help me or suggest something please?

Did you load any other file that wasn't with Kenobi? Sometimes there are stupid people who likes to play games, and they can make a script that can remove certain files. That is why it is best to never get anything from people you really don't trust, and if you do scan it with an antivirus program, or have someone take a look at the coding for you that you do trust.

Also, it is best to periodically scan your pc for any viruses. If you don't have an antivirus program you can use Trend Micro - Free Online Virus Scan.

I cant understand how it would loose vincula

all the time i was testing i had no probs and no one else seams to have had this problem also if you were afraid your pc would crash while posting , then i would say there is something really wrong with your pc.

Do you have anti virus and firewall , if so when did you last do a full scan?

Are the up to date?

What ram and operating system have you got?

Oz we have been through fact my puter is seriously messed before. I told you it crashes when I close pages (esp in IE) or when I close a program. You seen me moof yourself lol .It's been happening since the format. You even talked to Dani about it once.

I got XP Pro and whatever memory came with it. This has never happened b4 the format and I used to have scripts then as well. I'll run a virus check now. I got Zone Alarm firewall and I had Norton till it decided to stop working for God knows what reasons.

Well it looks like if its crashing stuff, then i would say its something to do with your comp and not the actuall scripts

Doesnt help that you say norton doesnt work now

so maybe your comp is infected and thats causing it to crash and for stuff to be deleted

Puter is virus free. I did 2 scans..one the houcall Warrior suggested and a Virus Detection ( the online one ) from Nortons.

Thx for your help..I realise its all my puter's fault. I just wanted to understand HOW it messes up the scripts.
