The End of Groups Chat?

Normally, I am able to get into groups chatroom with my script. However, today I started getting "Gatekeeper Authentication Failed". So, I did a little testing. Come to find out that now the userrole code changes everytime you jin groups chat making it impossible for scripts to join groups chat, now. Is this the end of scripts in groups chat? sad.gif

I have been using Hybrid Omega and still working fine. I thought I wasn't going to be able to connect today after I read your post and some other people have been posting about errors with joining. But I went to try and have no problem at all.

Your user role usually changes at midnight each day.

Thats midnight your time(which ever time zone you are in)

 

My code does NOT have bugs. It just develops random features.

It isn't midnight here, yet. I also tested about 5, or 6 times, and in each instance the code changed each time I updated the userrole information. I'll test it again before I go to bed, and see if it works this time.

well i can diss and reconect no problem , so it would suggest that something is not right with your script

I use Hybrid, with the Ozzy convertor to join my groups room...

the Only problem i encounter is soemtimes the URL i copy with my Reg IE for the convertor needs some adjustment. Ive never seen gatekeeper Auth, or invalid stuff or anything like i see so many others posting ( in here n rumbaars )

Umm quick Q... why do i always see stuff about Updating User role n all that ? lol

I open Hybrid, get my source with Netscape, Open convertor, paste URL, User role and BAM, me is in...

What the heck is ppl updating n why for ??..lol

am i jus lucky with mine ? or am i missing soemthing ?? blink.gif

Lol Hybrid doesn't need convertor. all that you do is copy your user role and pasted in the right windows (the one it says User Role), then just go to vincula main menu there just select Join room (group) then Normal there you just type the g_nameofyourgroup. and as you said BAM! you are in laugh.giflaugh.gif

Yay , learn somethin new everyday eh.

I started using the Conv. b4 i even found these Great help forums so i was kinda winging it n found a way to work & u know the saying, " why fix soemthin dats working "( or soemthin liek that ) hehe

TY for making that clear for me Tron , i will try that way so i have a few... ya jus never know what will work at certain times with Wonderful MSN biggrin.giftongue.gif
