is there a way?

ok .. what i have is an aop dialog. i store my information in an .ini file ..

i can get it to list the information and stuff ok .. but when i come to remove something it wont let me ..

i tried

remini aop.ini Globlal.q $did($dname,id).seltext

but that didn't work .. anyone who know's how pls if u could msg asap.

i just read the mirc help file, and that looks correct. maybe it could be using the . in the Global.q. try renaming it to Globalq. if that fails, maybe try setting the part your removing a variable, then use remini aop.ini Globalq %user

try this

write -ds $did($dname,id).seltext aop.ini

DO NOT use /write when dealing with ini files. mIRC's help file states this as you can corrupt the ini file.

Report views in dialogs contain text in the form column1 $chr(9) column2 etc, so you have to take this into account when using $did(id).seltext. To retrieve text from a specific column, use $gettok($did(id).seltext,N,9), where N is the column that you want to retrieve the information from.
