Hey guys here is a new one for me:

I recently moved from the USA to Japan. I can no longer use ANYTHING to connect. I am so frustrated. :taz:

Anyways, if anyone has any type of info about connecting IRC to MSN overseas on a US based OS...let me know. thanks a lot ahead of time.

buy msn chat then go tghelp.net probably explains how.

Aren't you TheProfessor who freqents in Christians Meeting Christians?! :o

I have no idea that this could be a problem... Maybe you could contact MSN Chat Support; I don't have a link to it though, sorry :( I can look though.

its everything actually.

I recently moved to japan, since then, while using my PC i have problems connecting to all types of things. mIRC and MSN being a few. I dont know what the problems is. Tried firewall, prox, everything i can think of ATM. Nothing is working.

Any thoughts will help - thanks agian

china is well known for blocking and sensoring sites , so maybe that is the reason

My code does NOT have bugs. It just develops random features.

True Ozzy,

I been looking into my internet setup here. Seems I am in a building that they use a "server" to connect everyone to the internet. Kinda like a network ... but not. idk... had so many internet problems lately its driving me to drink.

china != japan

your isp might be blocking ip addresses or certain ports

after looking more into it I think you are right. Any ways around this? :lbounce:

if the isp blocked the ip addresses or sites via a router then no.

ok a lil more info:

-Sites arent "blocked" per say, I am just having a problem connecting to things like: Yahoo(staying connected), MSN(connecting at all to messenger and chat), WMV(streaming anything), and Java based chats amoung other things....

-mIRC (anything and any connection) just wont connect. I can view the MSN server list for rooms, but cant connect to lookservers.

any of this help?

sounds like they have blocked some ports

true indeed - its the only thing I can figure.

is this fixable on my end? or am i screwed with this ISP?

well you say its on like a network for the building so it could be that or the isp blocking it.

But its prob the network, isnt there someone who you can speak to about the network

-I decided to pack my crap and move lol thats how.

yeah most people speak a little english. it is required in school for them. good side about it all is you never have a problem getting a job teaching english here with or without college or schooling. lol people pay mad cash for a fluent speaker from the state! :lmaojump:
