Ok.....90% of you might already have found out that most scripts aren't updating....

1) Vincula

2) GuardDog

3) IrcLink (if people still use it)

those are some of the most commenly known connections used in MSN at the moment (or so i think teehee))...

But msn, as usual, messed up something ((i think old billy wanted to act all smart and f'd up the code)) ...

So if anyone knows a way to fix this....

PLEASE POST..AND I WILL BE REALLY REALLY GREATFULL <wo0t>

Ignorance Is Bliss

Mines updating and connecting fine...although, MSN has been down since last night. Give it some time.

yep, it's here once again, MSN has been a twit and modified the server again. I'm aware of the problem, but will not be able to fix it for 72+ hours as i have 2 exams to study for an an assignment to complete. Others will attempt it at some stage or other. I have a quick bodge idea of getting around this. DO IT MANUALLY!

Nevermind dont work now lol

I think we are just going through some MSN bumps right now..and I'm not sure what the end result is going to be.

I was also unable to update my vincula hotmail passport, then a friend mentioned that he deleted his cookiee from IE options, and went into chat with a browser...and then was able to update his GD again. That was about an hour ago.

So I tried doing that..but it didn't work. So then I tried deleting the chatcontrol from the 'view objects folder' under IE options. That locked me out totally for about 3 minutes--it continually told me that I had the wrong password even when trying to sign in with browser. Then I tried updating with vincula again--and it worked perfectly.

But...I'm not sure how much is based on msn hitting a switch there, and how much is based on what I actually did here. It seems more like msn though to me, and just 'chance' that I happened to delete those cookies/chatcontrol at the same time.

Yep, MSN is doing some server upgrades I believe this weekend. That could mean changes for Vincula, DogCollar etc.

daym , this is really a pain in de ass,

how can we use our scripts then :(

Use the old way of grabbing your cookies http://chat.msn.com/renderchat.msnw :taz:

That doesnt work. You'll still have to go through some kind of update. Thus meaning your GK Authentication will fail.

Works here.(Old way)

Asus M2N-SLI MOB

I tried it and it keeps telling me GateKeeper autentication failed.

My vincula updates fine here again--I deleted the cookies and msn chatcontrol, and the passport now updates and joins fine.

Maybe we'll get lucky again this year--last year the msn updates didn't affect the CE version of vincula at all.

Gwen that Vincula doesnt update either... None of the Vincula's update and I did test it by deleting chat control etc and only way is the old way via renderchat :taz:

grinning male my vincula works fine, for me anyways, and for the other people in our room.

--when you delete the cookies and chatcontrol, you have to make sure to close all the browser windows, and then try to sign into chat with a new browser--it should take you to the download chatcontrol page, click the smiley face when it appears, and then close that browser window. After that your bot should work fine again. At least ours did here.

Gwen

ps..one lady here mentioned that it was pretty stubborn for her, she had to reboot her computer along with deleting the cookies and chat control.

what works for others doesnt always work for another..... and I deleted the chat control as well as all temp files and I always join via IE first and then by script after and still doesnt work... so renderchat is the only other alternative..

This is the way to do it copied from Rumbaar site by me so thanks to Mail for the info for those who didnt know how to.......

Go to a room using normal webchat. To get msnREGCOOKIE which is now called sprfilter, or something along those lines, Right click and view source. Look for the following line.

>RenderChat('F58E1CEF-A068-4c15-BA5E-587CAF3EE8C6

Look for the following in this line.

sPrFilter,'^YxG1jSLd1qOqAsjatGiwhmeELTgzoBLbYsrpkxgAvHAHR26BELOwRAlqqzoGS3F*8u*jnVpRlcJKajFI0amIaMtZszCITZBHobOr^gwkVTyqMjpJ2lBBcmoAykv91saOc84jkFcTHg5CloRWJhqK*JH1ByxJQ*wKQLtNN*1lCW1rRFw^yx7sCvlOC5^2lYHMkxB8eABvk9EQ2ECt86v65Aju40vd61p'

^YxG1jSLd1qOqAsjatGiwhmeELTgzoBLbYsrpkxgAvHAHR26BELOwRAlqqzoGS3F*8u*jnVpRlcJKajFI0amIaMtZszCITZBHobOr^gwkVTyqMjpJ2lBBcmoAykv91saOc84jkFcTHg5CloRWJhqK*JH1ByxJQ*wKQLtNN*1lCW1rRFw^yx7sCvlOC5^2lYHMkxB8eABvk9EQ2ECt86v65Aju40vd61p

Is your MSNregcookie

After getting that one close that window the cookie is located in. Then paste the following link into the address bar. http://chat.msn.com/renderchat.msnw

It will open a new window with a bunch of jibberish. Right click in this window and click view source. Here you will find passport ticket, passport profile and subscriber info cookies. Copy them and paste into variables in appropriate locations. You should then be able to join a paid chat room.

Gwen..can you post the update system in your vincula .....

coz i did all that you said and i even rebooted..and it still gave me the same error

• Updating the "Hitman" Passport SubscriberInfo...

• SubscriberInfo update for "Hitman" failed because the email/password is incorret (-232882.299 seconds)

Ignorance Is Bliss

true enough grinning male. We have just found it worked for everyone here. It took a couple of tries for me also--and it didn't work for another lady until she rebooted her machine. But so far, we are all auto updating and joining fine again, with CE, GD and Viper.

First visit http://chat.msn.com or http://chat.msn.ca and navigate to a room, login, join the room.

Once in the room, using the same browser window, navigate to http://chat.msn.com/RenderChat.msnw or http://chat.msn.ca/RenderChat.msnw

You should then see:

Code:

function RenderChat(CLSID, CodeBase, HexRoomName, NicknameToInvite, nMode, IsMessenger, ChannelLanguage, sPrFilter, MSNREGCookie, InvitationCode, Category, Locale, ResDLL) { var temp = '';temp += "";temp += ''; if (nMode>=5)temp += ""; temp += ""; temp += '';temp += '';temp += '';temp += '';temp += '';if (IsMessenger) {temp += '';temp += '';temp += '';}temp += ''; if (sPrFilter == '1')temp += ''; temp += ''; document.write(temp);}

Right click this page, then, view the source. You should then find the "Ticket", "Profile", and "Subscriber" values.

If you cannot see the values in the source code it is because it thinks you are not logged in, try again using the same browser window for all.

Easy as that.
