You could just have a host code in your script that hosts could whisper to your script so they can be hosted. Just thinking out loud here.

that is a good idea, Mail. You can use This to do that with.
But why run the risk of having a password that can be spread around, just put the people you trust in a user list and give them host on entry.
or they just have to type !host ect..
Yeah, just make a hostlist or ownerlist.
just use a acceslist o.O

I have a silly question.......
In a group, why would you need a host key?
Wouldn't it be easier and faster to just add to the list of group management?
No, because in that case, people can edit the way the group looks, delete it, etc etc. This is why your the king of n00bs ![]()
yeah you can just add them as asst-manager in the group and they will automatically be a host when they enter. But if you don't trust them with that much power it's simple to put them on an AOP list to use your script to host up. That's a bit safer than using a password that could get out.

The addon I suggested changes the key everytime it is used. So no risk of having it used a second time. Plus the key is different for each individual, and is geared to each persons gate meaning that noone can use another persons key. It is like aop, but more secure, because it requires the person to actually know his/her given pass before he/she can op. ![]()
