msn activXc control

my problem has nothing to do with scripts

it is about chat control

Sometimes when i try to join the chatroom using normal chat window it keeps saying:

please wait,connecting to server...

and nothing happens till it says network problems

i asked msn team about that and the said that i have to remove chat control 4.0 and another file from the directory

C:\WINDOWS\Downloaded Program Files

and join the chatroom again to redownload it and see the red smiley face.

That doesn't happen with me.. when i open this directory i find nothing in there and when i delete cookies and temp files and rejoin the room i see the smiley face even without any installing !! i am goin crazy

Goto internet options, settings, view objects, click remove on msn chat etc, clear cookies then try again

1-Close All Opened Browsers.

2-Clear thingyies, History, and delete files, even offline files.(do it many times some dont delete from first time).

3-go to Start ---> Run : then copy this command past it there :

regsvr32 /u "C:\WINDOWS\Downloaded Program Files\MSNChat45.ocx"

Hit Enter.

now try to join a chat room again and when u see smiley face it will work.

if it didnt work , then ask ur internet provider to open port 6667 for u, it happened with me before, when that port is closed msn chat keep saying connecting and after 2 mins gives u the network problems massege.

I used to have this problem also.

Sounds to me like you have a null error as this is what I did.

Try using this null fix. Install it and then run it.

Click fix.

renenter and you are done.

It's not a null error. If he had a null error, the little box would come up saying "You have been banned ..." blah blah blah. All it is, is an OCX error. Delete the ocx, then get another one (google it) and reinstall it in C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM\. Once thats done, go to start > run then type Regsvr32 C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM\msnchat45.ocx.

An easier way to delete those files is to open your internet explorer browser, click on "Tools" and then on "Internet Options" ...Then beside the 'delete files and delete cookies' is a 'Settings' button. Click on the Settings button and "view objects' to delete the chat control and other file. Or maybe the other file is in 'view files'

Once you've done this you will be able to chat on browser, but if you use a vincula script again it probably won't connect, and you will have to type in: /msn.hackocx and then wait a few seconds and type in /msn.msnocx

If it is not what I suggested then that's kewl I will know for next time but I wud like to hear from him as it was him with the problem.

I was just joking around with Digi .... quite frankly, I dont care which method worked ... aslong as it worked. But, it sure didn't sound like a null error. On a null error, you atleast get something. Sometimes its the banned messages, and other times you actually get into the chat room. But, ok.

used guest null alot when you could chat as a guest.. no more though .. hold me
