well for the access list in GD5, you can actually sort the access lists. If you click the headers of each column, they do sort, if the access list is big, it may take a bit to sort, but it will sort it. So you could see all your owner entries, host entries and denys one after the other, meaning you find things a lot quicker.

I love the clone detector it works very well ty, but it has an unconditional kick if i use it, i would love to be able to have it in just monitor mode and have a tickbox to enable the kick if i wanted it, like the ban, is that possible?

Can you make GuardDog minimize to the tray in the update?? Like in Kenobi and Hybrid!!

@ST4 : yes i've noticed that it can be a bit of a pain as well, i need to modify it a bit so that it has kickable selection, but for now it wont have it till i get some time to put it in.

@Blayde : you can turn the "minimize to tray" on through mIRC. Along mIRC's main menu, select view, options.

In that dialog, to the left is the navigation, select display and expand it. Then select options.

You see a line of buttons, the last one is "tray", select that.

Another dialog pops up, the thrid option is "place mIRC in tray when minimized". Select that, and then click OK.

Whilst you there, you may want to change the icon so that you know it's GuarDDog. In that dialog for "place mIRC in tray", there is a button "select", select that, then locate to GuarDDog's directory (which it should already be there), then select "icons", then select one of the icons there, preferably the "guarddog.ico" one, so that it represents GuarDDog.

ST i totaly agree with you, i was just messing. GD5 is a fab script, and im sure TGK appreciates the input from people like us who use it.

1 sugession in the new version of Guarddog let the emoticons seen on mIRC channnal screen pls.. it is hard understand which emoticons users send!!!

that causes extreme lag, i've had a few attempts at it, but i'm not to sure if it's worth it, with the great amount of lag.

I was thinking about this as we have users/hosts/owners changing nicks via scripts all the time, a "General kick everything" except for AOP would stop all types of cloning in the room and protect the hosts/owners as long as the AOP is up to date, but we allow cloning and scripts soooooo,

Is it possible to allow cloning in general but not of a owner/host nick, so ppl can play with their 101 nicks and if two are common nothing happens, unless its a owner/host nick, THEN they are kicked?

I really enjoy using your script, i liked your script so much that it motivated me to start using the MSN chats again.

I would like to state two issues that i have, the first one would be, on Choke Chain Protection/Room Locks/Owner/host keys, when i enter an input on the Held OwnerKey and Held HostKey options, the input that i enter doesn't stay on them, just the ones i entered on the last script.

The Second issue would be, Choke Chain Protection/Script detector, that it dont matter if you Uncheck the Echo in room option, the script screen will echo the ctcp(PING) and the time check, the problem with that is that when 3 users log in the screen will be almost full.

I would like to know if theres any way possible that ii could resolve those issues.

@ST4: yea i know what you mean, that idea would be something that i would like as clone protection, because it ensures that your owners/hosts stay safe. I will try and devise something to do this, but yea, it may not be for a few weeks, with school started already and that.

@Inter95: Thanks for the awesome comment, i hope many are a bit more inspired with GD5. I will look into the owner/hostkey stuff, and try and devise a method that will hide the ctcpreplys and that.

TGK, I believe a haltdef or halt will work for that in the theme. If I'm not mistaken. Or, you could echo it to the status window ..

they were all originally echoed to status window, but i changed it a bit in MTSLoader so that they go to the chat screen. I wouldn't want to halt them completely, what i will probably do is just set a temp variable which doesn't send the ctcp to mIRC. GD5 doesn't need mIRC to receive the CTCP as it's a socket based protection. So i could easily just not send it to mIRC, that speeds up mIRC a tad, and doesn't fill up the screen.

One of the rooms i support has been taken over, for the moment , all the hosts are currently at user, me included. This greatly reduces the functions of GD5, no script detect, no biblebot, no clone detect, etc. I understand the reasoning as to why.

With the clone detect, anyone in a script at user can see the nick/gates, all clone detect does is table the info, given we are really not seeing anymore that i can already, can this please be turned on for users ASAP please ???

Hi TDG....when i first downloaded GD5 it kicked really well during a flood, ive done all the updates etc and ive got a 10meg connection, however during a flood it doesnt seem to be as resistent to floods...any reason for this?

is it possible to have custon banlist messages for global banlist...at the moment it displays you are not permitted to be here?????

Everyone likes the clone detector,

1/ the fact that you have that extra info of past nicks by the user @ join

2/ that you gather a database of everyone that has entered the room

BUT

We cant have any of this unless we are prepare to put up with erronious kicking of our users, because the whole process is linked to an unconditional kick.

So i dont use it at all, i have chosen to miss out on all the data and not kick my friends, and i can report that others who want it also dont use it because of the kick issues, they all have kicked too many friends and dont want it to happen again.

I did the latest update for the AOP and then went and took a look, i love what you have done with it, well done (Y).

I have a minor problem i hope you can help with, all my settings in "Level Command" are all gone except for "global Admin", its going to be a pain putting it all back.

Is it possible to have a default button on each level to reload the data?
