ok, i have a busy chat room on msn and tried turning on the passport flood protection on GD5. well the default settings are too sensitive. so i changed it a bit 5 or 6 joins in 3 seconds. but it seems to stll kick at the default settings. the room is very busy 75 - 100 peeps normaly at any given time and i do have normal chatters joining real fast. any ideas? :wallbash:

oh i also set the flood protection to extreams like 10 joins per 5 seconds no luck

also the passport flood works great in my small trivia room, but that is set to default and i only have 7 - 20 peeps in there and they don't join fast.

Everywhere you go, there you are

try it at 5 joins in 1 second. That should be more than enough.

personally.. i rather use a spec kicker.. since %98 of floods are specs. wont kick host\owners ect. then if i need to ill turn on a pp flood prot.

from memory, if the person that joins is in the aop system, they aren't put through the flood protection, meaning they wouldn't be kicked.

well not having issues with host or owners getting kicked. plus i have run it with the new settings most of the day and it seems good, but it is a slow night too. some peeps are complaining they are having trouble getting in msn chats.... (probaly something msn is doing to help us again grrrrrrr) but still we have been holding at 75 or so peeps and no uncalled for kicks from GD5 so thats good. i'll keep ya posted.
