Scripts Crash

Every time i open a script vincula connection it crash's but if i open a non vincula connection script it ok

Am I the only one who gets this?

Well it was working fine until I upgraded to Dogcollar.

mmm dont think ur the only one.. msn is doing sumthin.. sometimes its fine then lookups go dead ect. past few hrs now

MSN is doing updates. They will most likely be doing it all weekend. Just gotta wait ...

mine froze a bit when i opened it yesterday, but after that it was ok...

but now i keep freezing after i join all the rooms and then drop out of them all .... so not sure what's msn playing at..but hope it gets fixed soon

msn is playing with the servers again

i tried g/fs comp and mirc locked up on connecting to lookups and yet when i went on mine it was fine

Havent had any problems connecting all weekend (Acid _Connection)

thanks for this imfo.... i thought it might have been 'just me and maybe something i did' alls working fine now..... i bet if they 'msn' has not made it your way yet there headed there

Well the connections seem to all be working just fine now, but the malfunction inspired me to rewrite my script to work in DogCollar, which has made it alot more stable and for me..only problem is i can't make it say encoded stuff..:S

Hey Dippy if you are using mIRC version 6.17 try to use 6.16 , i had the same problem but its gone when using 6.16

any way try to move to DogColler its great (y)

no i'm not using mirc 6.17 it full of bugs that makes it crash or not work with most codes

Vincula is not really suitable to mIRC 6.17 as mIRC 6.17 has a few adjustments in it. DogCollar is more suited to the new changes in mIRC 6.17 because it's been coded to suite it. It's not mIRC full of bugs (though i will admit that the flood protection in mIRC 6.17 is completely crap), but it's more the connection and it's compatability.

I still dont like 6.17 with Dogcollar was testing it with a flood and it was lagging so sticking with 6.16

6.17 flood protection doesnt work rite , i have tested with a few connections and it lags with them ALL when the flood protection is on

Ozzy ya olll mucker you hows it going havent seen you around for some time... How bout you make an Ozzy TG 6.17 and I hope your playing daddy more than anything else....

just make sure mIRC's internal flood protection is off, and the lag should drop dramatically...

i use 6.17 and have no probs at all.

I have no problems with mIRC 6.17 and vincula, and the mIRC flood protection does not cause any type of lag on my system. The only thing I've found wrong with the mIRC flood protection is that it holds all of the messges in buffer, instead of the number you specify.

i had that problem along time ago ........im not sure if its the same as what mine was doing.......i would open the script and windows would shut it down and give me an error and the program would have to shut down.......i came to the conclusion it was something in the xp service pack or an upgrade to the internet explorer........i cant even remember what it exactly was .....anyway i dumped the os and reformated and didnt do any upgrades or patches .......i use the mozilla firefox browser ....and my script opens up fine now
