irc version?

hey the gatekeeper. i am always checking on techgear007 and just reading through all the new posts. guard dog is always something someone posts about daily, and sounds like such a great script. the screenshots i've seen are great, just i do not go on msn. it would be great if there was an irc version of guard dog.

just a thought if it wouldn't be too much work

i've seen him say a few times that he doesn't have the time to code it for other servers outside of MSN. So I doubt it. The coding is so geared toward MSN i doubt he would change it but you never know.

No matter what TGK does and gives, people won't leave him alone. I am sorry! I have been poppin round in here and keep seeing posts about TGK makin new and new and new things. No thats not a typo. I know that forums like this are dedicated to help. But, c'mon!

Uh, that comes with making scripts. Actually, it comes with making software. If people like it they want to see new features, new ideas, new everything. They want to help and make it better software. You kind of assume that you'll get that kind of stuff when you make scripts/programs. I mean, Kenobi isn't updated anymore, but how many times do you see Ozzy getting questions, requests, and troubleshooting stuff splurted towards him? Also, if you think err0r needs to release his script, I'd rather him not release it and have him manage the website. What do you want more? His script or a website full of resources?

i originally wanted there to be 2 GD5 versions, one for MSN and one for IRC. But yea, at this rate, this wont happen for a long time. In the week just gone, i've gone from 1 assignment to 6 assignments. So yea, it's not something that i can put behind GD5. My school work must come first, till end of year, then i'll step it up again.

stained, it was an idea for tgk, if he wanted to do it and had the time to. doesen't have to be out in the next week, just gave an idea because i'm sure theres a few people on here who use irc aswell as me, and hearing all these great things about guard-dog, yet not being able to use it.

i know what you mean by not putting guard-dog before school work. thats more important than anything, so do your school work first! just thought it would be a good idea you could do when you have the time.

yea, well i might do a GD6, but that is a long shot thing. Depends on circumstances and that.

i think that if ppl ask a scripter to make his script work on more than just msn it should be seen as a compliment. that means they realy like his work.
