Script Detector in MSN Groups

Hiya all,

When i have GD5 in a MSN Group chatroom it detects everyone as a script giving the following message...

Choke Chain Protection : Script Detector : Warning! FredBear1 is a script! [Detected via CTCP (PING) Reply]

Any ideas on how to fix this are greatly appreciated.

hmm, i'll look into it. For now you can turn it off (Choke Chain Protection > Script Detector) then Ping (untick it).

i took a look, i joined group room with GD, then used a different account, joined, and it worked fine, so i'm not sure why yours would be giving problems, but if it is, just don't use it, better to be safe than sorry aye?

I had a similar problem to STA... I just got GD5 setup and my room running again. The issue I got is everyone is detected as a script and they are kicked for 24 hours.

How should I setup ChokeChain so this doesnt happen? And can i access the ban list so this chatter can join the room again, before the 24 ban expires?

I also checked the AOP System > Database > GlobalBan List and this is empty

Dunno anything about guarddog, but maybe make the ping time-out a bigger period incase your connection is slow, or there's is..

Just take off the kick .. and, what I do to prevent that stuff when I use GuardDog is take off CTCP[Ping] and time checkx2 .. that normally does it.

yea, well with the new system, you can drop the ctcp flood protection right down now, because GD5 blocks out the first few seconds to allow for return of ctcps and that.

There's only one thing i hate about guarddog , that it doesn't do my laundry and my cooking
