Hi all - brand new user with ViperBot and so far it seems to be working fine in my MSN Group chat room. Just had a few questions though, maybe someone knows the answer.
An old group I was in had a nice option. In chat you only had to type !profile bob and the bot would return a whisper and say "here's a direct link to bob's profile"(I just used bob as an example of course). I think another Bot was used in that chatroom but is there any way I can program viper with this info? I am using the ai module as well, and currently if i type "show profile" in the chatroom, the bot whispers back the address for the profiles page, but not the direct link to that person. How can I tell viper that !profile Bob means find bob's profile and whisper it to me directly? is this possible?
One other question. The little ai chat module works well, I have programmed many additional questions and answers. However it responds to every word uttered in the room, which sometimes gets annoying. I tell chatters to simply right click the bot and "ignore" but I would really like Managers, or even chatters, to be able to turn the bot on or off. The module is in c:\program files\viper\viperbot3.83\ai\ai.exe.
Is there any way I can program viper so a chat command like "bot-on" would launch it, and "bot-off" would shut it down? Maybe asking too much but it occurrs to me this should be possible, either with viper itself or the ai chat module.
Any thoughts from anyone would be appreciated.
