mIRC 6.2

Has anyone found any problems or conflicts using mIRC 6.2?

ozzy had a prob with it conflicting with one of his addons he made.. other than that i haven't heard anyone having probs and i haven't had any.

That, plus it won't hide the status windows anymore.

Status window hiding really isn't a big deal. If you seriously want to hide it, make your own switchbar and add an if statement that asks if the window is the mIRC status window

There are no problems that I've found quite honestly. There are a couple new things in it that annoy me, such as if you don't have mirc.hlp in the directory of mirc.exe, it won't run it and it won't return an error at all.

Just to let you know there was a thread on the mIRC forums about this and Khaled was going to see what he could do about it.

laggy as in u go to post a 3 line post and it only shows 1 line. cant be the con cause it does it on every con i try

There were probably some changes made to sockets because of the SSL support or something. I'm not sure.

I like it a lot better. Besides the extra features, there's a lot of bug fixes.

Really, I prefer 6.17 better, because of the fact that it can hide status windows without having to create a switchbar.

You think that outweighs memory leak fixes, other bug fixes, a new event (on tabcomp), on hotlink triggering on right clicks, various other scripting additions and plenty of others?

Sorry, hixxy. However, 6.2 seems to be slower than 6.17, at least to me. So, as far as memory leaking is concerned it looks like 6.2 takes the cake. I barely have any problems myself with 6.17.

well when you said tabcomp, i thought you meant the tab button to use for a nick cpmpleter thingy. thats why i said how lazy can you get.., but ill stink to 6.03 . the new stuff in the news ones are useless to me.

I did mean that. It's not lazy to use a nick completor when you're on a network that allows 30 char nicknames
