Well yall now that its closed whats next make us pay for messenger live too ( hint ) it was said at one poaint in time that windows live was goin paid as well in the next year or 2 well im not paying for it if and when it happends so hold on to ya ares

I was just hangin around in Koachs chat yesterday and someone said something about 2010 when that might happen. But, just a rumor. I dont take any truth to it.

Windows live messenger already has pay-on-demand features. considering Windows live is a highly in development suite atm nothing can be said for whats going to happen or be made next, not even steve ballmer. Also may i note to you that don't know that Windows Live is a highly integrated free service with Windows Vista when it releases, you will note it in the welcome screen when those of you who haven't already seen it. plus there is more programs to be developed so who knows what is on the horizon. Of course lets not mark the idea of paid extended features, but windows live will never be an absolute paid users only service, so your rumors you are hearing are completely fake no-matter who you hear them from.

I heard about it a few motnhs ago from a old firend that used to work for msn untill a few weeks ago when they caned him lol for selling mircosoft secrets from what i hear but it is just a rumor

These posts are from Microsoft below, But if they claim they are protecting the children what about all these underground chat servers that are out today. How are they gonna protect them now.

 

Microsoft Corp. announced Wednesday it would shut down its Internet chat rooms in 28 countries, saying the forums had become a haven for peddlers of junk e-mail and sex predators. “The straightforward truth of the matter is free unmoderated chat isn’t safe,” said Geoff Sutton, European general manager of Microsoft MSN.

 

In those regions, said Microsoft, the chat was free and unsupervised, giving rise to a nefarious element that bombarded users with “spam” mail, much of which was pornographic and, in some cases, allowing pedophiles to prey on children.

 

“The rate and pace at which bad things are happening to kids because of the Internet has just stepped up in the past 12 months. You just can’t ignore that,” said John Carr, Internet advisor to the UK-based children’s charity NCH.

Yea, the clones .. like I said, tons of other servers out there. Just because they dont have 'webchat' doesnt mean they're not chat servers.
