Of course its still popular, it was most likely popular before MSN Chat..

Its like saying nah communication between people died out years ago, its sooo not popular haha

I stopped reading at point 20 when I scrolled down and saw it were a hundred or something. It would make the ferment chatters a bit depressed reading all that about themselves I think.
