Buzzen Attacked

Does any one know why Buzzen Web Is Being attacted? No one can Get on Line, I am in room and they Posted they was Being attack??? What is Going on? Any Help explain so I can Pass to others Please

It's probably someone who doesn't like Buzzen or just an idiot who is bored.

it's a very sad truth but any irc network is a prime target for attack. The more popular a network gets the more it happens.. they will be back up soon i'm sure.

I heard that Buzzen will be closed down, couse they using MSN Aplication? Is that true? Is that what has Happen?

from everything i've heard from them they have a new chat interface in the works. They said they have upgraded their servers and plan to be around for a long time to come.

I saw in chat room that It states Brodcast From MSN even though it Buzzen site? Aint that still MSN program?

What I have read, MSN don't realy care as long they don't make money from there ox, Or as said program. if they don't then it free like Buzzen stated. let them have fun. But I have been ask to donate money so I wonder where that fallow, To be ask favore for money to have preference to be top room. Has me question is it for money or for free?

they are using the msn chat ocx. It will continue to have the MSN Broadcast in their messages as well as MSN version in /version.

Once you start making money on ads and making money for additional services offered when your membership is primarily based on someone else copyrighted material you stand the risk of facing legal action. I've said before the chances are probably slim that msn will ask for monetary damages against them in this case. If and i stree If msn does anything they will just ask/force buzzen to not use it. Hopefully they will get their new interface in place soon and all of this nonsense will end.

They only asking for to have a script and supported chat room to keep web site running, They have to have a way to keep it running or how do the do it? If they using Microsolft program, with out making money, with out help how can they keep it up?

because they run the irc server side. the ocx is just a pretty interface to access their servers. The ocx and the server are two different things. You don't actually need the ocx to chat on their server. But without the ocx they are just another chat network. the ocx is what attracted 90% of their users. They have alot of work ahead of them if they truly do move away from the ocx in order to keep and attract users.

It's similar to TCN.. we were by no means experts on running a chat network. TBO we were probably in way over our heads when we tried. We didn't really expect it to be as popular as it was. We got users because of our reputation for trying our best to help people. We tried to offer several ways of connecting to the chat. We did try to give it a msn-like feel without being a clone. In the end it didn't work out but it wasn't because a lack of trying. We didn't have the best setup, but we worked extremely hard to make it as user friendly as possible. If nothing else that added to our rep as ppl just trying to help and Reputation becomes a big issue in any startup.

How big is the chat program do you have any idea? KB MB Or Gig

TCN is good what I have seen, I just don't think many know about it, Not many members, If they knew, I think in time, it can be something, Time always tell, TCN can be what all looking for, Give it time, if you are running it, and have controll, wait, time will tell

scooby anyone can do what buzzen is doing with the ocx.. it's not just them. there are several other "popular" sites that do it and many many more that aren't popular.. If you are really interested in the hows of doing it you will have to do some searching on other sites as we can't help with that.
