After reading all this twice in the last two days, I have to say the free publicity for Buzzen is good. The screen was nice, but I like darker themes anyways.

The change is a good direction for Buzzen. If they pull it off good for them. In not...|shruggs|..

After reading the links posted on the AJAX chat, I have to agree with X-Fusion. It sounds like it could be unstable at certain points.

But I one question, if they succed, wil it be called a VSIXc follower? I don't feel anything they do or don't do will be significant enough to win over too many in here as they have already been marked as below par by so many.

If the old MSN'ers don't like it they will just flow right on over too one of the other 'clones' .

No. We're not as 'inavative' as Buzzen. Everybody will call Buzzen the leader, mainly because VSIXc isn't and probably will never be as mainstream as Buzzen.

i would think buzzen's new chat is gonna be a bit buggy at first. could be why it's not officially released yet cause they are still working on it. you think? bugs are gonna happen. it's how they respond to them that will be the test.

You might have seen some moans about the server going down, it was actualy restarts as bugs where being fixed on the fly.

I take my hat off ( if i had one) to buzzen for trying to prove people wrong, im not bothered either way, but good luck to them for trying ...ps not taking anything away from VSIXc, which is a differnt ballgame.

If you ask me, I think it's about time people just put the Buzzen grudge in the past and compare VSIXc and Buzzen on two different levels. VSIXc is an innovator in the way that the chat preforms, and how it was developed. The same with Buzzen, leaning more toward a Web 2.0 (AJAX based) chat. Seems to me if we all grow a little more respect for each server, things may not be as bad as everyone portrays them to be.

As I said back in the beginning of this discussion, I am very happy to see Buzzen take real steps to de-clone.

De-cloning now doesn't change the shady manner (fake msn ads, and use of msn ocx) Buzzen initially used to gain a great number of their chatters... But one trouble with life is that we can't go back and change what we did in the past--we can only move forward and try to do things better from the present on.

I think this is where we have to let the past get covered over, and look at the here and now. What I see in the here and now is Buzzen trying to do things differently. Sure their new chat might not be perfect, and it might not be liked 100% by everyone--but not everyone likes IE or windows Vista either. On the other hand, I do like what I've seen so far with Buzzens beta chat. It seems like they are moving forward and trying to do things the right way this time. At least that is how it looks to me. I support them in that.

With that said, Vsixc is my home chat and always will be. I just think there is enough room in our chat world to offer moral support for another none-clone.

I can't wait to officially say to Buzzen "welcome to the NON-Clone world!!"

Personally, I'd like to see someone else WITHOUT the MSN ocx. With Buzzen going in that direction, I'm pleased. I'm not 100% pleased, because it's still in beta, which gives them free reign to still use the old one.

I am looking forward to v2 of ircxw, that will improve beta a lot and fingers crossed not to much debugging to do!

And of course, viperbot v4 waitin to get me hands on the theming files on that!

Has anyone tried out http://www.oasiz.net ? the features there alone have me impressed. Hats off Rob. Perhaps rob can find some way of merging with another small network. However these servers need to get away from charging people for use of the server. Internet is paid for when you pay your bill at home. Why should people pay more after that? There needs to be a bigger focus on attracting advertisers to the sites. Attracting well known advertisers is a sign of success. PlentyOfFish.com is a true success story, and a great success story.

I have spoken to dailup users and they have no problems loading flash ircxw....

People need to stop buying bottled water. Otherwise we are going to start paying for it dearly. Same goes with pay for use sites.

Regarding the water.... your government should be the ones to ensure its clean. This is why we pay taxes isnt it?
