Who Misses The Msn Chat/scripting Days?

Back in the day when there were all those all gold, all host rooms, etc. and everyone going crazy with their scripts.. =P

Why should I? There was nothing that great about MSN, just the fact that it had so many people. Other then that, it was just a server.

i personally miss it. Not so much msn but the fun i had there. the challenge of scripting under limiting circumstances. Learning new things meeting new ppl. ah the good ole days lol. What msn did was bring alot of people together.

I do miss everyone being in one place. I don't miss scripting for MSN.

I do miss msn--even the scripting for server updates (although buzzen is almost as bad) lol. For me it's sad to see everyone split up and all over the place though. I would have liked to see the msn crowd stick closer together. I like sharing memories with people who have had similar experiences, and it is still neat to run into people I knew from back then--in a way we feel like a big chat family. drama wars and all.

i kinda miss it but i don't tho, cause all the retards from msn are still flooding else where

I miss MSN Chat and especially groups chat. I had finially gotten alot of what I was taught about scripting in the bag and my group room filled with help topics, trivia, word frenzy and protections "I" actually wrote.

Most of my freinds went to Buzzen. I went to VSIXC. I was wrong!

If I ever find the time to script again and want to have a "chat" life again. I will go to Buzzen or flat out do IRC Chat. I am tired of headaches. For me personally, MSN was easy as shit to script for. And you didn't have 'ops' "bending" you from rooms. Want to know what "bending" is? Google it. If you have the time to look all the rules up, you will officially hate ALL ALL ALL chat servers!

W/E! I digress! I just do NOT support what I used too. Being slapped in the face a few times will make you think again.

If you want a stable chat with actual people in room, use Buzzen! If you want a 'chat cause I'm bored' use Buzzen or Sparkpea.

I can't say I see why your bashing VSIXc, but, I certainly believe most of your post applies to it. If you can elaborate on what you mean, I'd be more then happy to answer your question, because as far as I'm aware, every server (even MSN) had ops bending people from rooms. I'll have to admit, for you to claim Buzzen is stable, it obviously shows you haven't been here ... oh, I don't know, the last 3 or 4 weeks?

Anyway, if you wanna bash VSIXc and run, go ahead ... no ones heard from you in forever anyway, right?

I do miss msn chat. Moreso for the people i met, like everyone else i met a lot of good people there, and had a lot of fun times. I miss the server resets too, that was always fun. Having a good UK room with 100 people most nights, and most people chatting was great. Even the flooding/porn bots/room takes was fun at times..or finding new ways to stop them. That all added to the fun of msn, and if it wasnt for all that scripting would not be anywhere near as it is now, and im sure this site wouldnt exist.

as for the ease of scripting.. it's easy to script for anything.. mirc isn't rocket science. but because there are so many ways to do the same thing the challenge is doing something in a way no one has or few have thought of. Or taking the extra care to make something and release it for ppl that don't find scripting so interesting or easy.

I've chatted on several services and they all have their pros and cons.. The only bad thing i can say about vsixc is the amount of users. Vsixc didn't go on a wide spread advertising kick like servers such as buzzen. I like buzzen i think they have come a long way in a short time.. Their v2 release didn't go well at all but they tried to make a huge change all at once and that's bound to cause problems. They are trying to provide a good service to their users but they have alot going against them. Mainly idiots that want to see them fail and do everything in their power to try and make it happen. PPl keep screwing around and we will all be in Yahoo chat and i know we don't want that lol.

All this which chat is the best chat is pointless.. the chatters make the chat not the other way around.. try a service if you don't like it try another. Everyone has their favorite. Mine just happens to be vsixc. Yours maybe buzzen.. who gives a crap.
