Today, I got an email saying that I was eligible to receive a tax refund of a little over $2000.00. It gave me a link to go to so I could fill out my information, and bank account details. What gave it away for me was two things. First, I looked at the url which was http://mtlpercussion.org/catalog/images/mi...ing(50);%20?%3E.
Next, I clicked on some links the website had such as Help, and Contact IRS. Every link I clicked on took me back to the same page where I was suppose to fill in my information. So, I reported this site.
The website looks like a legitimate IRS website. However, don't be fooled. Always be suspicious of anything where you have to fill in personal information. If you get an email like this you can report it to [email protected].
