What are the MSN chat levels?

O.k since MSN chat is divided by Suscriber chat service and Community groups chat, and they also have two different servers.

I know the suscriber chat has different levels such as Admin, Sysop, room owner and also hosts.

Do they have also Admins, and Sysop for the Community groups ???

Does the admin and sysops can navigate the web all over, I mean Asia, U.K, Latin America and Mexico with their level or is different ?

I hope this question is not tooooooooo dummie to post it here. I just wanted to know that.

I don't recall seeing or hearing of an instance when any msn staff have ever entered a group chat room. As the group rooms are supposed to be looked after by their respective owners I do not see any reason why they would come into a group chat. As for sysops and admins going over the border so to speak, I am not sure how much free reign they have. Some are just bots sent to sort out problems and I would assume they can pull double duty and cross the borders. I would think it would be more of a language issue than anything else.. You wouldn't want a sysop that only spoke english running around on the spanish rooms but I guess they could if needed. This isn't really my area of expertise as I have had few run ins with msn staff. I used to have a couple that were supposedly msn staff on my messenger but I never really cared enough to verify it.

i have never heard of any msn staff in the group chatrooms and i asked a sysop and they havnt either.

In groups they have no need to enter them , they can do anything they want without going in the rooms.

Yeah, besides msn group rooms suck so bad why would they need to come mess them up more.

yes synops, admins and guides can enter your group rooms at will without being a member if the group, i know this cause they shut down my group room cause of my bot.

lmao everyone in groups runs a bot or script , so unless you had illegal content , i doubt they would have closed your group for having a script or bot in.

It is possible that they would have banned you from normal msn rooms and they got you in groups too

it's also highly unlikely they would bother to enter you room.. Your group would probably just take that old " hmmmmm we can't find that page " plunge

In my room I allow members to bring their script and sometimes I even host them as long as they aren't annoying people I let them stay there. But sometimes I have seen guys that aren't even on the members list.

So I tried one time to do a /list to see if I could see other room and join them in the same way and I got a message in my status windows that I was not a IRC operator. So I was wondering how they get in my room in that way .

reason they closed it was cause it kicked the person out for swearing, but yea they don't really come into group rooms, but anyways if they do close your room, just get it back up in like 5 mins.

Now because this is an IRCX chat server last I checked, I dont know if "Subscriber" is actually a user level as far as the server goes.

But MSN may have altered the chat software this way they can have more user levels than what the chat server actually provides.

I mean its possible to create a new user group with the server itself, but I'm not totally sure.

They do lots of weird crap, then they mask it all with the chat applet, so its hard to ever tell what the technical details are to their updates.

But I think thats the full list.

How do they deside to who will be a sysop ??? do they choose a regular chat user or a friend, or a family member ???

You have to be professional. You can't go up to a Sysop asking "hi CaN I be sysop?". They might ban you for stupidity. They arent accepting Sysops or Guides anymore even though they're taking applications for I-Desk, they're reading applications from over a year ago.

I never thought this was goin to happen to me.

Somebody took over my community group also. I was the creator to the group and I sare the ownership with two more friends.

Now I went there to read the messages board and I foun out that some other member from a different country took our comunity and post his country's flag on the main welcome page.

I think that somebody brook into one of my friends e-mail account since they were showing it on their membership profile. I had mine hiden so It should be one of their.

I write to MSN feedsback department and this is what I got from them.

The only time I have seen MSN Staff in a group chat room was recently when I went into Grapevine Edge and UK_Bot was there Butterfly and all.

lol, what did MSN do? Come in remove them from the room and gave you rightful ownership?

They can close your room if you kick someone for swearing!!!!!

MSN Staff cant join msn group chats.. There clients run on a different protocol that MSN Chat itself
