Do a virus and spyware scan if installs are stopping half way trhough someit is up
if that fails system restore to a date before it was updatec

first get rid of AOL, if i made antivirus software i'd have it classified as a virus lol. I've worked on many pc's using vista and none had a problem with IE7.
side note IE 8 is a nice step up but still in beta

I better do a few days back restore or even worse done a factory restore. Anyways nais tuke = thank you all for your help on this one D
Instead of starting another topic I though why not ask here ... my friend would like to know what advice members can give to this posting ... remember we are UK ... what server and what browser would you use on your pc ... im with virginmedia and have looked at there postcode and they cannot get virgin ... so any input to this post would be gratefully excepted ![]()
In order I'd recommend: Virgin Media because of their bandwidth capabilties and up-time.
If that's not possible then as a last-ditch I'd say Sky Broadband or BT as they have a good reliability (ie: up-time) and come with a "free" wireless router.
Oh, and I use Opera at home and at work ![]()
I don't get paid to know the answer, therefore I'm far more likely to give you a straight and honest answer.
Opera..period.
i'd go with firefox or opera
