No offense Fanfare, but me and all other the people that worked on getting this done, our goal was to make a new interface along with some elements of the MSN Ocx, infact i believe that this is the next evolution of Webchatting, using Ajax, Javascript and a IRC Backend. This is the future:o

Some exciting news from ChatCore!

As you may know, we are a new but growing network. For a limited time to celebrate our opening and to help us test out new features we are accepting applications for Free Sponsored Chat Rooms and Free Premium Membership Accounts! There are a few simple limitations.

We are NOT changing our free chat service or requiring any sort of paid membership to use our service and do NOT plan to anytime in the future. We are simply allowing power-users to use a few premium features that most other user's wouldn't normally need in daily chat operation.

If you have a non-sponsored chat room on another network:

While not required, we ask that you have a regular user rate of at least 10-20 chatters minimum (of course excluding idlers). This needs to be an hourly average. In other words, on average each hour there need to be at least 10-20 people in your chat room including idlers. We are not so much concerned about the user count as we are the quality of conversation and value of the chatroom's users.

We also ask that your chat room be a general audience chat suitable for all members as we want to be able to include everyone in being able to join your chat room.

If you have a Sponsored/Paid chat room on another network?

We are offering to honor your existing paid/sponsored chat room for the duration of the existing term.

At this time we are not accepting registrations for user’s who do not already have an existing paid/sponsored chat room on another network.

If you paid for a sponsored chat room on a competing chat network we will gladly transfer it to our server for free for the remainder of your paid term without any terms or conditions. Why should you be locked into a service simply because you paid for it and can’t get a refund?

All we need is some evidence of your chat room on another network (it helps if your chat room is already on the other network and has an existing user base). We will also need your PayPal receipt showing a payment to the other network’s official payment address in the amount of at least the posted price on the other network’s home page.

While not required, we ask that you have a regular user rate of at least 5-10 chatters minimum following the same general guidelines above for non-paid chats.

Great Features

This is a great feature that will allow you to try out ChatCore risk free and bring your community to us. We will assist you in helping your user’s find your chat by promoting you on our home page and featured chat’s section. We can also help you to spread the word by setting you up with a group on our network as well. If you have a mailing list we can also help spread the word for you with a professional mail out.

Major Chat Network Merger in Discussion

March 23rd 2010 – ChatCore Ltd (http://chatcore.com), the provider of the free and widely used ChatCore.org chat software is in negotiations for a merger with other chat networks at this time. Details are limited and the names of the networks included in the merger are not being named due to the ongoing negotiations.

The proposed merger would consolidate other networks into the new ChatCore network. Again, details are being kept highly confidential. Official Announcement would be made via the Lobby in ChatCore followed by a subsequent press release.

ChatCore recently launched its own chat network using the ChatCore.org chat software. Decisions were made to close the public distribution of the software to other chat networks that are using it and assign an April 2nd deadline to stop using the service. Larger networks which rely on ChatCore are being given additional time on a case by case basis to continue to use the software until a replacement can be found.

we rolled out RC1 this morning - the website and webchat are now of a standard we feel confident to be 90% bug-free - please correct us if we're wrong ;-)
