Yes. They were not willing to release any information regarding the bots auth process. Possibly because it contains username and password information.

Nah, most likely because they simply want to be the only one in their circle to have it. Here are some things Ive found.
It appears WoW may use an IRC for its game chat. If so you should be able to connect to it with a socket if you can't use /server.

Looks like you can access your log file that would log chat in the game, but I don't see how you would send chat to the game from an IRC server. But according to this post above, you could get your account banned if you do.

No, I mean it looks like it's illegal to mess with WoW's IRC and if you do I guess you get banned or something.
