Hi all,

I'm aware that everything has fallen a little quiet on the ChatCore front lately, and since a significant amount has changed behind the scenes, I thought this would be an ideal time to make those changes public.

Firstly, and most importantly, it is with regret that after many years of working tirelessly by my side on ChatCore, Andrew (Bench) has decided to step aside to focus on his career and other opportunities. I'd like to take this opportunity to publicly thank him for the sheer amount of hard work he's invested into ChatCore, to make it what it is today.

Secondly, and as a direct result of the first point, I find myself at a crossroad: and the road I've chosen, at least for the time being, is to continue to build on the model that we established in the previous few months, to keep pushing the webchat technology forward and to evolve into wider territories. Its safe to say that at this point, I've not ruled out a possible merger or integration with other chat providers, and as such, any interested parties shouldn't hesitate to contact me @ [email protected].

I still firmly believe that ChatCore has a future, in these ever changing and exciting times for social media especially. Any interested developers (VB.net and C# in particular) should also get in touch using the above address.

Presently, ChatCore operates on a business-as-usual front, and we'd all be delighted to see you there :)

As always,

Nathan

Thanks for the update Nathan. It's a real shame that bench is stepping away as I really enjoyed seeing his work. I know that whatever he decides to do in the future will be awesome. Best of luck with Chatcore.

<bcry> I am very very sad to see Bench go. ChatCore was the best , and most innotive chats out there, of that i have no doubt. Bench, you are always more than welcome on Rogue's, yourself and your good wife, we hope to see you there. In the meantime good wishes with chatcore nathan , i hope it grows, it deserves to. It is very hard to get new chats going these days , as facebook and other medias are drawing people away from them, which is a great shame, but the march of time is inevitable. Thanks for all the work you put in Bench, and may you live happy ever after , with your lovely wife,.... ... paige
Yeah was talking to bench last night or day about him stopping the work on chatcore, it is a sad day when someone makes great use of there talents and has other things in mind. Chatcore was brilliant and with both Nathan and Bench working on it ..couldnt stop them. So yes its sad, but hey what ever bench will do next I guarentee it will be awsome. Good luck my friend and look to the future and your goals.

My memory of Chatcore is of the nicest Webchat I've ever seen with the nicest look and nicest features. The IRC side of it is excellent and enjoyable to script for. I am sad to see Bench go but happy that he is expanding his horizons. I idle at Chatcore & Buzzen still on my neXus script, but I'm hardly ever home. I'm off trying to make money too. I hope everyone is having fun and doing what you want to do.

I'm sad to see Bench go, but at the same time, I admire him for wanting to go with other venues. His coding insight will be greatly missed at ChatCore and I wish him the best of luck in his future endeavours.

With that being said, you all talk like ChatCore is gone, but we're just at a crossroads on our path. It is true we lost a great man, and at the same time, we're starting to look toward the horizon and expand our future. ChatCore in my optinion is by far the best designed chat service around these days. I'm looking forward to adding more feature content as soon as we have interviewed and added another .NET developer(s) to the team. Any programmers who are interested in joining our team should send their resume in to us at [email protected]

We are about to break out of the proverbial shell of "standard" chat servers into a more evolved social network site so drop by and keep checking us out.

As expected, many people contacted me after this. A decision has been made, and at this time it is safe to say that no further offers will be considered.

I'm not at liberty to disclose more, needless to say it is a collaboration and not a sale, and should significantly change both ChatCore and the other participant's infrastructure for the better.

Thanks for taking the time to read, and for your kind words above.
