smilesview.dll help!!!

i am using smilesview for msn chat ...everything works fine if u join a room using a guest nic but as soon as u go to use a stored passport u get

/dll: unable to open 'C:\odin\DllTmp\Dll.dll' (line 75, Web-ChatZ2.mrc)

it was a zip file downloaded from this site and i have all the dll's in a file named dlltmp(have also tried just in the main folder)...line 75 of web-chatz2.mrc is

I'll look into it when I have a chance. However, that code isn't for echoing to a channel window. It is for echoing to the whisper window. So, it should still work when you join a room. If you can, try to join a room, and see if it works, and let me know.

hey ty for getting back to me so fast;) i thought thats what it was but thats what seems to be blocking me from connecting to the room...it wont connect at all with a stored passport...that is the error i get in the status window...everything seems to work as a guest.....btw loveee the script keep up the great work and ty for looking into it

Okay, the problem isn't the smilesview then. It is somewhere in your connection script. All smilesview.dll does is make your chat window into a customized chat window. The most smilesview will do is just not be able to make a customized chat window. However, it won't stop you from connecting to the room. What connection do you use?

its mirc 616 with vincula that was in the zip file..if i take out the the web-chatz code it works fine...but when i load that back in and try to connect in a room i get

in the status box and then nada....

if your trying to use it in a full script, say hybrid or ChristianEthics, then it could be in relation to other scripts. If you are just using a mIRC with vincula only, then i don't see the problem. You could try GuarDDog v. 4.0 [ http://guarddog.agapechildproject.org ] because it has a built in working smilies theme, and connects to rooms very well.

ty gate keeper ...it is just plain mirc and vincula..i wanna get this to work since its a script i am building for me and a few others and i really am at a loss..but i will check out the script u mentioned ty

do check it out, but to me, there should be no reason why Web-Chat2 shouldn't work, i have ran it myself without any errors. it could be the vincula you are using. try the vincula modded by koz posted on techgear007.

hey gatekeeper that is a sweet script i love it...and i cant figure out whats goin on with mine..i uninstalled all the scripts i had and started over just with mirc 616. and the edited vincula..still get the same /dll: unable to open 'c:\mirc\dll.tmp\dll.dll' (line 75, web-chatz2.mrc) ...maybe im installing it wrong?? again it works fine on guest. im at my wits end here lol...anyone want to get brave and look at it if i send it thought messy or something before i pull my hair out ? i have been at this for a week with no progress..and thanks for all ur help guys

well thats completely strange, if you are satisfied with GuarDDog, maybe just use that, it has all the required features and a lot of people love it.

The problem you might be having is you also need the folder "Dlls" inside your main mirc folder with the dll files inside the folder.

thanks for all ur help guys...i found away around it..i cant go to vincula main menu, view msn rooms list, pick a room and join. i have to go to join room and type in the room i want to join..not sure y...
