vincula room creation

2 things..

1) Does anyone have a working code for vincula's msn.makeroom?

I've been working on re-storing vincula's create a room, but its not working and its annoying me..so I thought I'd see if anyone's got it worked out, and spare myself the headache. [i'm using koz|cal's right now, but would like to restore it fully for the next Vincula EZR release]

2) If anyone knows koz|cal could you email him or let him know that I've got a question for him, and could he e-mail me. [email protected]

in vincula's current state, it is not possible to do with just 1 or two lines of coding. Reason being is that to create rooms now requires more then what vincula 4.9 was coded for. ClearMSN is more up to date on that because it is constantly kept up to date. I have talked to eXonyte, and he hasn't had the time to work on vincula because of other obligations, but when he gets free time, he will most likely start on a new vincula, but he said no promises. So yea, i would just stick to ClearMSN, unless your gonna go recoding vincula, which is possible, if you know what your doing.

I wouldn't tamper with vincula, you could possibly ruin the code and have to reinstall it. As TGK said, I'd go with ClearMSN, it requires little to no work.

the only people i would advise modifying vincula would be those with extensive coding knowledge, and extensive knowledge in sockread/sockwrite. Even at the level i'm at, i wouldn't try and work it out because my knowledge is only good in one area, not really in the sockread/sockwrite section, but i'm learning how to use it more and more.

I never could be bothered with Vincula after Pay-day as I don't see the point in paying for a chat service when IRC is free but it doesn't mean I can't still edit it .

Gatekeeper, yes ClearMSN is definately coming along great, and works well, but for right now, its still conflicting with some of my other scripts and I'm having to re-code some of that also..so until all those quirks are worked out, I'm continuing to put both vincula and clear into the ChristianEthics public releases.

Also, I just like how vincula works and have everything else all working how I want it, and would prefer to stick with it as long as possible, the only aggrivation I've got with it, is the create a room. So any help on updating that, would be great.

I would have recoded vincula but the thing is the codes are way too long for me to recode it.For an simple floodout problem itself it cost me 6hours to recode it.I hope Clear Msn would come well i pray vexation should release an Crystal clear Msn soon.I hope he will do it sooner.
