Whats a grant

I was lookin at the access thing in vincula, and theres all these access things like owner, host, voice, deny and theres one called grant. what is it?

Those users avoid bans in the same way that they would if they were on the access list as an owner or host.

Put simply its a "safe" list

another thing you should know about grant entries is that if you have anybody listed as 'Grant' in the room's access list while there are no 'Deny' entries, it will ban everyone who isn't listed as 'Grant' or higher. the server assumes you want the channel to be exclusive to the people you list in the access.
